March is Ambient Month and Wayfarer Records is ready to celebrate with four amazing releases.
First on the schedule is Wayfarer’s first ever “box set” collection celebrating their most prolific legacy artist Boreal Taiga. In addition to his thirteen existing Wayfarer releases, Boreal Taiga is combining SIX of his early albums into one very special BandCamp EXCLUSIVE Collection entitled The Boreal Taiga Collection. This digital collection includes the early albums Boreal Taiga(self titled), Qoldai’yek, Polar Night, Podkamennaya Tunguska, Northern Shamans and is sentrum. Each individual album will be available individually on major digital outlets but, the only way to get the discounted entire collection is directly from Wayfarer HERE. The Boreal Taiga Collection releases worldwide Friday, March 7th.
Next up is from Wayfarer Records’ Featured Artist of the Month for March Ian Crawford. Ian is returning with his first full-length album for Wayfarer since 2021’s The Long Now-Extended Edition. The new album is entitled Slow Pull on a Long Thread and features Ian’s multi-instrumental virtuosity as well as his stunning compositions. Following up is the first duo project from two of Wayfarer’s most popular artists Ambiente Solstice and Billy Denk. Both artists have been having tremendous success with their releases A Question of Time and Beneath the Peaceful Sky lately including both being featured recently on the legendary radio program Echoes. Their first duo project is entitled Stone Eclipse and is due to release on all major digital outlets worldwide on Friday, March 21st.
We could think of no better way to round out Ambient Month than by the first ever Wayfarer release from the planetary visitor Interstellar Data Unit. Interstellar Data Unit has come to Earth to share his artistry in a way that is truly unique. Humans be ready! Arrival Imminent.
