Dino Pacifici was born in Montreal, Canada, on July 20, 1958. He began his musical studies at a very early age of 5 years old, concentrating on classical guitar. Dino started composing at the age of 13. In 1982 he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts (music) from Concordia University. Dino is a consummate artist whose sound and gift is grounded in ambient / chillout music with a jazz influence in combination with his own unique identity. Over the years Dino has kept busy writing Pop-Oriented and Dance music and playing in local bands. Dino has spent many years studying, recording, and performing live in which he continuously expands his musical horizons. Dino is proficient with bass, keyboards, percussion, programming of electronic instruments as well as his first love, the guitar.
His compositions includes recordings of ambient/space and chillout / jazz albums. In 1979, Dino’s first independent album, ‘Become a Man’ (NAB Records) was released locally, and received radio air play for two years. Three years later, his single release of ‘Jana’s Song’ receives local air play. In 1986 he co-wrote NANCY MARTINEZ’s ‘hit” single on the ‘Not Just The Girl Next Door’ album entitled ‘Move Out’ (Atlantic Records). In 1994, Dino released ‘Random Factors’ which is a mix of different styles from Smooth jazz to ambient to experimental. In 1997, ‘The Journey’ was released, which began Dino’s adventure into recording ambient/space compositions. Currently, Dino has successfully recorded over 30 albums, cascading many genres, which include Smooth Jazz Ambient Space Chill Out Rock PopMARTINEZ s hit single on the Not Just The Girl Next Door’ album entitled ‘Move Out’ (Atlantic Records). Presently, Dino divides his time with his love for his family, being a musician, photographer and a licensed massage therapist. As of 2020, during the pandemic, Dino began composing and recording new music starting with the album titled, A Collection of Shadows (2020) and continued to present day with titles, Ambient Garden (2020), Celestial Anomalies (2021), Longing (2022), New Earth (2023), A Boat Without Oars (2024), Imaginary Horizons (D.Pacifici, B.Lane, Wayfarer Music Group, 2025) and more…
