Recently, Wayfarer Music Group launched their own 24/7 streaming radio station Wayfarer Radio. The station showcases music from the rich 18 year history of Wayfarer Records and now, we are happy to announce that in March Wayfarer Radio will begin airing regular hosted programs in addition to their regular programming. We are even more excited to be teaming up with Future Beautiful Radio for the first of these shows as highly popular radio host Bruce Gall will be joining Wayfarer Radio for monthly installments of his well known radio show Atmospheres specifically showcasing Wayfarer artists.
When asked about his background and upcoming involvement with Wayfarer Radio, Bruce had this to say:
My name is Bruce Gall. I’m from Dundee, Scotland, and I’ve been a big fan of electronic music for many years (since the mid to late 80’s) when a friend, who runs a mail order music business, introduced me to this genre. Up until then my interests were more in the progressive rock field, and still is, but the sounds I was hearing from these acts was something new to me and I fell in love with it and had to look into it much more. I was aware of the likes of Kitaro, Tomita, TD and Jarre but listening to these unknown artists (to me) was a revelation. Â
My initial introduction was more in the field of New Age and the likes of the Narada label in the U.S. and New World Music in the UK to name just two, but I soon started looking further afield as I was interested to hear what else was available. My bank balance took a hit over the next few years as I was a regular buyer! I was also listening and commenting on various radio stations for some time before one station noticed I had a bit of knowledge on EM and they wanted to introduce a new show to their listeners so they asked if I’d be interested in putting together a show.Â
I’d never done anything like that before and thought for a while whether I could do it and eventually I decided to give it a go. That was something like 15 years ago and the show has taken a few different names over that period.Â
My Atmospheres show on www.futurebeautifulradio.com is a weekly, two-hour delve into all styles of EM from the 70’s up to present days as my appetite for the genre is unquenchable.Â
It wasn’t until around 2016 that I decided to attempt to make my own music and have so far accumulated six solo albums and two collaborations. It’s a hobby and I love it.Â
Over recent months I came across Wayfarer Records and really enjoyed their artists and I play many of their albums on my show so I am very grateful to be given this opportunity to play and speak exclusively about the acts on the label on Wayfarer Radio.Â
